Cub Scout Pack 680

Alexandria, VA

Hiking Trail Reference

Looking for a good hike?  This is a list of age-appropriate trails, many of which the pack has used for hiking activities.

When going on a hike, be sure to have your scout wear a backpack containing at least a full water bottle and trail snacks, if only to develop good habits.  The other hiking essentials are a whistle, first aid kit, flashlight, and sun protection (sunscreen, hat, or both).

Most Tigers can complete hikes that are 4.0 miles and under.  Many Tigers can complete Burke Lake (4.7 mi), but some can’t.  Most Lions can handle hikes 2.5 miles and below.
